The Strand Luxury Resort Reports Strong Sales
During the current construction phase, the owners and developers of the private residential resort The Strand Turks and Caicos are reporting strong sales.
John Fair, Managing Director, Developer, and Project Manager, disclosed that their first house will be finished in April or May of this year during a developer open house cocktail reception that took place on January 25, 2023, at their Sales Office in Cooper Jack Bay.
Fair stated, "I think everything is going great. Our sales have been strong. The construction is going very smoothly. We have a wonderful construction partner." We probably got a little behind on the entitlements because of Covid, but otherwise everything has been great and going very well. Our first house will be finished in April or May, but the project won't be complete for about 18 months. He stated, "The project as a whole won't be finished for 2.5 to 3 years."
The Strand began construction on in March 2022, in order to compete with the finest ultra-luxury residential resorts in North America.
He continued: This is a significant undertaking: The Strand is estimated to cost between $225 million and $250 million, and approximately half of it is currently under construction. This includes the majority of the amenities that are either in the process of construction or have already begun. The Strand, which I refer to as a residential resort, will feature 41 pieces of real estate with prices ranging from $2.5 million to more than $12 million and all of the facilities of a five-star resort. Spa, fitness, tennis, pickleball, and more are available.
Fair also said that there will be a man-made beach that costs a lot of money and will be open to the public. There will also be a marina for the residents that will be like a five-star resort.
He stated, "We will rent the units and villas, but it’s just a little more residential feeling than the typical resort and it’s more of a planned community, so it’s a little unique in Turks and Caicos." However, he continued, "We will rent the units and villas."
